cooling tower

2017

Cooling Tower. Part of the exhibition ‘Endless Landscape’ Organized by Axeneo7, Gatineau, Quebec, 2017. Collaboration with Nathan and Jim Bomford, curated by Stefan St. Laurent.

Modelled after its industrial namesake, the Cooling Tower consists of a scaffolding tower wrapped in reinforced tarp cladding. A water mist system causes a column of cool air to flow down the inside of the structure and out the bottom. Visitors to the exhibition are encouraged to climb the structure which affords an elevated view of the rest of the exhibition hall. The Cooling Tower was installed as part of a temporary exhibition in an indoor sports hall and former foundry for the summer of 2017.

A publication accompanies the exhibition.
